Im going turbo and i was going to purchase my boys turbo off of an 04 neon srt 4. first can i use that turbo, cause instead of buying an entire kit i was go to piece it together. also i was going to buy the intercooler also, what do i need for the turbo to work, i know i would need? all together. ALSO if i buy the motoria catback would i be fine if i had the 3 inch downpipe to the to an 2.5 cat, would i lose hosepower?

For the exaust...dont buy a motoria exhaust for your turboed car. Go to ebay, buy a 3" muffler and get an exhaust custom made.

^^3 inch exhaust isnt always a requirement for boost

it all depends on how much hp you hope to make

im gonna stick with my 2.25 exhaust for my boost project...

I heard that you dont really nee 2.5" exhaust until you get at least over 300HP.

you can use any part from any car almost

problem is your gonna have to mod it to fit

the srt4 turbo could be used but you would need a custom manifold
the intercooler might need new end tanks welded up

after that do a search its been discussed many times what else you would need for a turbo

pick up corky bells maximum boost its a good read

2.5" is more then enough for most street car,hey.. we have dsm running low12 high 11'S with 2.5 exhaust. .why would it be different with our cars...

isn't the turbine housing part of the exhaust manifold on the srt4 ?...
same thing for the BOV,it'S part of the compressor housing

see for yourself...

looks like someone woke up this morning and had a flash about turbocharging his car cool.gif

before wanting to get spoon feed, please do a search,at least you'll know what you want and what it will invoke

my boy said that is bolts off, my major question is piping

do you really need decompression plate if you are not running more the 10psi or what?

cause i just want to start at least by the end of the year cause is my only car cause me and my boys are going to get it done in a weekend in a heated...but the major thing Piping if custom right?
