Fully Rebuilt Head?
Damn misspell and get blown out of the water...
REDZ-"from what I'VE SEEN, modifying the Mustang TB's pulleys to use our throttle cables and such is a PITA. I haven't seen it actually done once."
Never seen it done, but its a PITA...that makes since
I would like to know who you get to do a P&P for 250...high school shop class with a dremel tool?
Your right a TB has nothing to do with the head but it does with a turbo kit and there is nothing wrong with having 70mm Tb on a boosted car.
Maybe the reason we dont have any damn parts for our cars are because of people like you that put people into the ground for having the thought of making parts work for our cars!
I have seen soo many ideas put into the ground because of other people not liking the idea...and you cant say they haven't.
As for the honing machine...I am just going by what the shop told me...and they said it would have a chrome like finish...and I think I said "like chrome."

well you should get your facts straight before you post, not to be an ass, but you need to.. some n00b is gonna be like.. sweet, they can open my IM up 1/6", when in all reality, you MIGHT be able to get away with opening it up 1/16"..
also, about the 100k machine needed for the IMs, you dont need a machine, you can fabricate a IM by hand.. and just need a welder, and a good fabber..
and mr. pettys shop and their chrome talk.. its just polished look cuz its soo smooth...

^^^^ cant help but agree, sorry red but you are a little harsh sometimes, but great black you cant blame not having parts on red because thats just a little out there lol, no offense intended to either member

Honing is a process, how the hell did I know what you were talking about. Honing 1/6 of an inch off of something would take FOREVER. Your typical "Honing Machine" is a electric drill with a honing attachment on it.
Holy friggin expensive equipment batman!

It's SENCE. I've seen 2 folks try it, it's never been completed but talked about alot, therefore I've seen it, but never complete.

Are you kidding me? The head on my RD1 was Acid Dipped, P&P'd, and a 3 angle (Not angel) valve job done for $239.99. Local auto shops do it, and I've got the reciept here for it somewhere from when I bought the car. Anyone should check locally and get friendly with their local tuning shops, you can get good prices. Don't believe me? PM ABQElantra or Cysco00, they both owned this car before.
As for your other comments, don't be childish, you are the one that is still in High School, I'm old enough to be your father.

Good, just wanted to make sure you knew you were posting off topic. Don't do it again.

I've supported this all the time, and watch your mouth youngn. I've had more parts made for our cars, and KEPT more parts being made for our cars than you EVER will. I just think it's funny that this went from...
1. These guys love me!
2. These guys are going to make us parts!
3. Send me parts!
4. They are making us parts!
5. We need money so they'll make the parts!
6. We need a special machine to make the parts!
WTF ever.
It's people like ME that get new parts made, that support Group Buy's for items they do not need themselves, and contact new companies to get parts made on a daily basis.
It's people like me that bring back items like the Airram and the Apexi Exhaust from extinction. It's people like me that go to the car shows just to get more folks to come to the site, and to meet with the MFR's out in the world.

Your point? If enough folks want it, it'll be made. In a small community like this, if most of the folks don't want it, it won't be made.

Hmm, let's say "Mirror" finish eh? IT'LL BE SHINY FOLKS! We are polishing 1/6 of an inch of metal off and it'll be really shiny afterwards.
No f***ing duh.
My point is that you've promised a ton in this whole thread, I, and others supported you in it, and now it's falling apart. Like many other ventures do. You are mostly off topic and offering overpriced services on a head that these guys know nothing about yet. $500 for a company to P&P a head they've never seen before, sounds a bit funny to me.
Don't bother posting in this thread again, you have nothing else to add to the THREAD.
And hell yeah, I'm harsh sometimes. I've been through a lot in my life, and I'll be damned if I'm kissing anyone's ass here (Besides Tibchic wink1.gif ) or playing nice. There's no time for it and it's useless. SOME folks here need the reality beat into them with some harsh words, or they'll go make a frigging Paper Mache Intake Manifold, paint it silver, and sell it to you in the For Sale section.
My advise to the author of the thread...
Get rid of the 63MM if it's the System one and try to track down something better, like the 65MM Tigerlilly.
Get the ARP studs, numbers and prices are listed on our site.
Get some good cams done up, check out RPW and some of the other sites out there for them.
Get the P&P from a local and REPUTABLE tuner with Import Experience and have it acid dipped, and a nice valve job along with it. Should be less than 400 bucks.
Get the oversized Ferrera valves and the springs. Pricy, but should be nice.
Get the cam gear, it's VERY light, get the one from Fidanza.
Also, maybe an adjustable cam sprocket too.
wow all this fighting over little ol' me ahah umm.. so those ferrea valves and stuff like 1500 bucks? wow thats alot, there goes my nitrous haha
what do u mean "locators"?
i take it i should get the " +1 mm" size for both intake and exhaust right?
whys everybody about the mustang 70mm tb? does it fit up better or something?
because up there it said its a PITA ...
and basically i should just get my intake manifold and cams made?

-bump-
ok locators... you mean keepers, correct? (thats what i was taught)
whats so bad about the system 63mm tb? and i did search
your saying 400 bucks for p&p using a flow bench, correct? because if i could get my whole head done right for $400 (not including parts) that would be awesome
and yeah i forget what else i wanted to say

For someone going to such extemes you don't know much about what you want done. I'd research alot more before you go buying all these upgrades. For 20Psi your bottom end (Crank, Pistons, Conrods & Bearings) is your main concern, not your cylinder head.
