Front exit exhausts are uncommon in the Hyundai world but you do see them other places. Check out DSM's, every once in a while you see one there. I would suggest metal around the exhaust exit though otherwise you might melt/warp the exit from the heat.



Second every state has its own laws. In Iowa you drive that thing around all day and not get pulled over. Check out the exhaust venting on Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren. It exits right after the front tire. I understand your track only for that setup but check your local laws if your going to street drive.

 

It is going to be illegal in TX, as soon as you remove any/either/etc cat it is illegal here. Do they care is the better question.
