Hello Guys,



my name is Andy from germany. I have install a turbo kit from Socks.

And now i have a question about the Aeromotive FPR. I install the FPR like this:







The installation instructions from Aeromotive says, to install the FPR at the fuel rail outlet port.

Whats the right place for it?



Second question: The FPR makes all 0,5 seconds a pumping sound. And you can feel the pumping at the fuel line.

Have someone from you any experience with the FPR?

The bottom fitting is fuel in, the upper fittings are the pressure controlled outputs.



The whine I imagine is the system pressuring up. Are you running stock fuel pump or an aftermarket high flow pump.

 

hey andy. the install on the kit should be really straight forward. I still need to do a proper write up for it.. heres a quick overview.





1. Assemble the kit as shown

2. Unhook the stock fuel rail and return line as an assembly.

3. replace the entire thing with this unit.

4. Adjust fuel pressure to be roughly 40psi with the vacuum hooked up (adjust the top threaded shaft left or right [i forget which way increases pressure] until you hit the target pressure)

5. your done



you may need to shorten up the return line (small 1/4" line coming out of the bottom of the FPR) to match up with the location of the stock 1/4" hard return line.

i´m not sure, if i understand it.



Let me see:



- the left port on you pic goes to the entry oth the ruel rail.

- the bottom port is the fuel feed line?

- the fuel return line comes on the other side of the fuel rail.



Is this allright?

 

nope, got it wrong its ok though..



return line (small line) comes out the bottom

The right side of the fpr has a plug in it

the left side of the FPR has a line that connects to the fuel rail.

this is actually what i sent you, all set up and ready to install







the small line connects to the hard /barbed/ return line on the drivers side of the car.



the new system is pretty much a drop in replacement for the old system.

That explain the pumping sound. Is this ok?
