Forgive my newbiness
I have seen some people with turbo kits running dual fuel pumps. Is there any benefit to this or a specific reason? I always figured it because they were really high horsepower drag monsters and they needed the extra fuel, but Ive seen people who are in the 300-400 horsepower running 2 pumps. You would think one would be enough for that power range. But maybe I'm wrong and thats why I am asking about it.

most people running dual pumps either are doing it for the same reason some people say you 'need' 3" exhaust at 300hp... ignorance or just mis information.
there is a 'guy' running like 3 pumps and a surge tank which is totally un-necessary, but this 'individual' thinks its a necessity.
a 255lph will probably be plenty for anyone. and after that, you could run a single high flow inline pump if needed.

is the accent the same style as the tib? if so, it seems a lot easier to have a drop-in replacement that takes less than a half hour to me anyway.
i know its only a couple wires when doing the inline setup, but to some people zero wires is a lot nicer than two wires..

It really depends on your mod level and vehicle use. To blatantly say its just misinformation is misinformation. lol
For the vast majority of people upgrading your stock pump will be more than adequate. For some that run dedicated race cars on a drag strip or road course dual redundant pumps can make the difference between winning an losing. A surge tank with two pumps is commonly used on a dedicated road racer subjected to high g load turns than can starve a stock pump. Having a surge tank makes sure the second pump has plenty of fuel to get you around that tight corner.
