could be lots of thing,
wrist pin clearance did the machine shop chck the pin outside diameter, the rod inside diameter and the pistons diameter
noise is getting "louder" when engine is hot" this one puzzles me a bit...
usually bad pistons clearances (too much) wil lmake fora VERY noisy cold engine and semi "ok" hot engine...

hot engine noise is often related to bad oil pressure/crank/rod bearing clearances

My I remember the Rods clearances were very close to the cylinder bores so what they did was Notch the bottom of the cylinder bores so it will give clearnce for the Paurter rods to be on the safe side. The noise sounds like a LOW rattle or ticking sound coming from the botom but today when i gave it a good run i heard the sound of the exhaust in the high rpms sound like it was farting while at WOT..Sounded liek a Blown Gasket which is weird because its not like WHite or Vlack smoke was coming out..
This type of sound coming from the exhaust can it mean anything?I do have an Apex I Muffler on....

**MERGED DOUBLE POST**

I went outside to start the car and for some raeson the rattling sound is getting louder and to top it all off when i hit the gas pedal, i see white smoke coming out of the exhaust mad.gif
I looked at my Oil to see if i see any Coolant in the oil but cant see anything or any Milkly residue on the Oil cap..
Where the heck is this white smoke coming from?
Sounds lile a Blown Piston ring of some sort?
What can it be
DAM I HATE THIS! mad.gif

white smoke?

Look at it closer.. does it look kind of blueish?

If so.. you have oil getting into the combustion chamber...

My wiseco pistons rattle a bit when cold.. but settle down once warm...

Do a compression test.

Right now, mine sounds like a diesel too. That's because I have 1 toasted ring.

Well i actually went outside agagin but this time when i started the car i went for a nice hard drive and the white smoke is now GONE.After about 15minutes of driving i came back home and then when i was reving the car NO White smoke anymore..
What i think happened was yesterday during the day i started my car a few times in my garage trying to adjust my fuel pressure at idle BUT did NOT drive the car all day....I think there was alot of moisture and when i started up the car today and reved it thats why there was alot of white smoke....
And like i said after the drive i did today no signs of white smoke anymore...

Jaws!
What i mean is of course before i left to go for the hard run i did rev the car a bunch of times and NO WHITE smoke was present. Also when i went for my run i could see in my rear view mirror if there was also a cloud of white smoke and nothing....

Like i said in my above post i think all the white smoke was from me starting and shutting off the car a bunch of times when i was in my garage and i didnt drive the car till today because i had to adjust my FPR.This may of caused alot of Moisture to build up in the motor and there cause alot of white smoke to happen...
I guess im getting use to my new setup because im only running 6psi and i do feel a loss in power with my Weisco pistons from stock 10.3:1 compression..
WHat i also did was stay in first gear and staying staedy at about 3500rpms and then punching the gas and it doesnt feel like my old set up with stock compression.
I guess i jsut have to wait till i break in the motor for another 500K and then crank the boost up because 6psi is PEANUTS 02.gif

2UNIQ,

You have been around 3-4 yrs with your turbo tib. For those yrs i have been reading the boards and you have had nothing but trouble.

You have been using same mechanic for those yrs. GET A NEW ONE. owned.gif
