^^Well that is what I was told by the shop guys. I am going to get it measured before I start putting turbo on just to know where I stand and I'll let you know the correct numbers then.

That was what I was thinking off if factory boosted cars can handle higher compression can't see why ours wouldn't

difference is the tuning more then anything else. alot of boosted cars internals are not any stronger then there n/a counterparts. (or even any different in a few models). the ecu was tuned in the first place by a manufacturer (who spent millions, not a few $100) for a boosted application. that on top of speed, was tuned for reliability.

the main issue with people boosting there cars, then blowing them up will come down to a mistake or short cut in tuning.

I agree, most mistakes are made due to tuning.
You do want to go with the 255 lph walbro unit tho, especially if you will be upgrading your injectors as well. I havent installed my walbro or injectors yet, and am runnig 6 lbs of boost with stock internals on the motor and i am experincing fuel cut. if you do plan on having ur car fine-tuned with some sort of ecu managment (whether it be standalone or safc) you might as well put the walbro in.

Ok I got my turbo wink1.gif and most of the smaller parts. Waiting for the IC, boost controler, gauges and piping. After those are in I'll finish the project.

But here is another question. I have decided to live the compression as is and go with a Unichip which I have already payed for. At the shop I have received another information which I decided I should check with you guys. Tuning shop I got Unichip from recommended that I should not buy 440 cc injectors as a OEM replacement but to go with foru OEM and an addiotional fifth injector instead. Basically what they say is, they will install fifth injector on the intake manifold and an additional unit (as part of Unichip) to control that injector. So basically fifth injector will start spraying fuel only when I got boost. Since this is a bit cheaper way (and they say it will be more fuel management friendly and will give more power as the end result of tuning) I am inclined to go this way if the setup will work. What do you think?

The 5th injector is the cheap way of doing things. There are more secure and reliable options avaiable, to me the 5th injector is just a qucik cheap, unreliable fix. I dont recomend it. There are however plenty of people who do it this way, maybe they can let you know how it works for them.
