Hi there, I was wondering if it would be possible to swap the 1.8L engine out of my 97 tiburon and swap the v6 tiburon engine into it.

Also, how much would a turbocharger kit cost?

Hehe..hey there..well first post up some info about urself and pics of the car wink1.gif

As for the swapping..well it is physically possible wink1.gif but if u think about it, the 4 cyl motor is much smaller and V6 is bigger, this means u would need to do some heavy body work trying to put it in the engine bay..Then u got problems with gearbox and all other stuff..U cannot just have a straight swap, so in the end you would prob work that that it would be cheaper to turbocharge ur 4cyl and produce more power than the V6 wink1.gif from what ive heard those engines arent very good in their perfomance (taking stock)..

\/ Hehe..i wish i could buy the bolt on..but it would cost me the same amount to ship it to Australia as getting one done here.. \/

Everyone is telling you to forget about it because it's been discussed dozens of times. The V6 is a bit heavier, but MUCH bigger than the I4. You'd have a hell of a time getting it in there. THEN, when you finally have it installed for whatever ungodly amount of money that would cost, you'd have that much more weight in the FRONT of the car, not to mention, you'd only gain about 30 WHP at the MOST.

Stick with your beta.
