I found an IM (Intake Manifold) on ebay with extra injectors already in it. the price is good and it is a brand new item. The prob is, its for a 2003 Tib. and i have a 2001. I guess what I am asking or need to know is, what kind of shiitt would I be getting myself into? what type of mods would I have to do to get this to work? I know that the 2003 is MAP based, and mine is MAF but other than that I am clueless. I read something on here about swaping parts from an 03 to an 01 but it just said it was extremely difficult, and didnt go into detail. I think it was in "new user faq" Any help would be great!!!!
P.s. I surch on the site for this, and wasnt able to find anything. Maybe I just missed it.

Redz installed a Beta 2 Airram on a Beta 1 I believe.
He had to plug the Map hole, and then he dremeled out the runner ports to take off the hump.
I think the Throttle body might also be different?

the idle air control valve we have, the 03 doesnt have, the TB is different, so u would need a 03+ one cause ours wont bolt up. as u said its map based when ours is maf based.
03 style (beta2) is over 3 times the weight, doesnt flow as well, and would involve to much work to get to fit if its even do-able). my main worry would be about the idle air control valve really since that 03 one doesnt even have one, there TB is set up like most other cars with a hole for air to bypass the TB. ours of course uses a pump. not really sure what would happen if u just unplugged our valve set up, and just ran the beta2 style.

Well I've heard of the Beta II guys using Beta I Air-Rams that got shipped to them accidently and making them work, and Redz used a Beta II air-ram on his Beta I.
Wait for him to answer, hes a troll he'll be here sooner or later. cool.gif

LoL, yea, that was my thought also. but just cause it works, doesnt mean it doesnt have negative effects electrically bypassing that idle pump. (such as moving the knock related sensor on the strut mount to a different angle, or even sideways).

Look at my pics guys, I've got a Beta 1 Airram on my shit.
ABQElantra used a Beta 1 Airram on his Beta 2.5, and it worked alright, he had to juryrig some stuff.
I wouldn't recommend it though, he had his fuel rail/injectors blow off during a run down the track and spray fuel all over his engine.
he's now taken it off.
Show us a link to the IM.
