Default Engine Specs : for 2nd Gen Coupe!

Hi Guys,

I am considering turbo charging or super charging my Coupe (the 2nd generation one with 4 eyes!) with mild boost and will therefore need more info on the engine sitting in my car... I am Driving a 2.0 (Auto tranny).

Information required....

Engine Type:
- Beta 1, 2?

Engine Code?
- Read something about L4???

Stock Engine Compression Ratio?

Thickness of Gasket?

Many thanks for the info!

I am not being a hardass here... but you do need to search harder. We have discussed EVERYTHING but the thickness of the headgasket.

I'm opening this back up, the guy has 2 posts and is obviously new.

Tlyeow, search man.

Hit the search button and type in Beta 1.

Or go to the "NEW USERS" section and look at the FAQ.

Most of your answers are there.

The rest of the info you can find easily at www.hmaservice.com

Ok, we have a new user from Malaysia on the boards, probably not the best with computers, esp. since this site isn't in Malaysian. We have 3 people telling him to go search. That doesn't seem like the kind of warm welcome we should give our foreign friends. :S

man, this thread is about 7 posts to long. wink1.gif

you have a beta 1.

engine code is G4GF i think.

stock CR is 10.3:1

thickness of head gasket is supposed to be .0020 inches (compressed with head), .0027 inches not compressed.

hope this helps.
