I TRIED THE CALCULATOR
these are the results
tibby was measured at
engine capacity 2000cc (there wasnt 1975cc)
Maximum RPM 6600 (there wasnt 6750)

for 6psi i got this
T25
60 compressor trim
.49 turbine HSG A/R
BHP=190.59
Air flow LB/per min= 17.54

for 8psi
T25
60 compressor trim
.63 HSG a/r
BHP 201
A/R 18.554

its funny, once i adjusted the rpm to 6800. The calculator recommended the T3 with a 40 compressor trim and .49 trim for an extra 6 BHP.

they are retailing the Gt25 with a .65 trim for $2885 AU which is about 1500US eek.gif

are these numbers about correct???

Yep!!! You got it right! Ok, You can get the GT turbos but they are expensive. I think you can get a T3 with ball bearings for around $800 new. I just bought some and I know this guy has some deals.

Try him and see what you can get: Ola Lysenstoen [ola@innovativeturbo.com]

I also saw some T3 on Ebay just type "garret t3" but they are used and do not show the trim or the a/r spec.

And by the way, you can set up your boost at say 10 psi which is quite safe, you can always switch to say 15 if needed for a while without problems. All you need is a boost regulator valve.

The T028 are good to around 20 psi... but usually we set them for 15 psi but I have seen them spun to 28 psi... of course with a much shorter life.

A T028 or T3 are great turbos... the best for street application is the new Garrett FULL ball bearing GT 25xx turbos... expensive but they spin up quick and have good top end.

If you want to stick to the T25 and 10psi is great! There are T25 60 .63 with ball bearings as I said before. They will spool even faster.

The name and address I posted before has T25 on sale, $595 to $695. T25 with ballbearings $895. All of them new! I think if you search the web you might find used or rebuilt units for a lot less!

This the place he works at:http://www.innovativeturbo.com/

wow,... your good at this Prices eint bad either.

i still need to do some reaserch on intercoolers, so i can get the right size. Plus a water cooled intercooler seems attractive, but i still need to reaserch it.

but thanx,... ill i need to do is locate a retailer for the rrfrr.

hopefully by summer, this project will be completed.
