16.2 with a super? I would be very disappointed.
The car put down 128 hp and 126 Ft Lbs on the dyno in N/A form with the mods Yamaneko had done. It put down 140 Hp and 128 Ft Lbs with the supercharger...hardly stellar performance.16.2 with a super? I would be very disappointed.
Granted, this is with a 100% stock exhaust system, but obviously the supercharger is NOT working right, and Alpine has refused to retune it.
Alpine's dyno claimed a 45 HP increase. I think not!!!
Hey Random send them trial lawyers a letter about that Let them go after them and get ya 20 dollars..
Seriously though did they try anything or do anything to fix the situation?
Other then not offering to retune it?
They must not get much Hyundai business so they dont care about us..

Alpine worked with me to retune the turbo kit. However, it did NOT give me any additional power, only better driveability.
They have simply not answered ANY e-mail yamaneko has sent them and has not answered any I sent on his behalf.
I have even tried to contact DasTek, the company that makes the Uni-chip, as they require all resellers to honor a 90 day money back guarantee. However, since 90 days has long since past, DasTek let alpine off the hook, even though Yamaneko has been trying to get ahold of them since well before the 90 day time period expired.

I have sent letters to Alpine, with copies of the invoices for the extra work I've [b]had[/i] to get done, plus letters from the guys that did the work outlining the problems they had and what they had to do to rectify them and still Alpine don't respond.
I'm with 2klo, I detest Alpine and their shyte system and shyte attitude - I've got better things to spend 4k (gbp) on than their crap.
I am considering putting a notice about them on ukHCS, but I don't want to be had for libel.

Decker,
I Have a Rimmer IM. It is off of the prototype S/C kit for the 2.0 engine. They couldn't get it to work properly so the guy that had it sold the kit in pieces. When I got the IM, I had it rebuilt by a friend of mine. Then started putting my kit together piece by piece. The thing is sick. I got absolutly no problems with it. I have it running on stock injectors with a S-AFC and no problems. I will try to find my last Dyno and post it on here for all of you skeptics
After I completed the construction I had everything sent out to Magnuson Products To be looked over. After the ok from them it was installed and tuned.

OK,
I want to see this dyno for the Rimmer... is it the Eaton or the Autorotor?
I think 150-160 Wheel HP will be about it. We (Koreans) and Rimmer has never been able to get much more power than that out of the Tibby's here.
Oh, can you send us an mpeg of the pinging while you are at it wink

In this thread you claim to have 5 injectors and a "computer". Is the "computer" the S-AFC?
How do you control the 5th injector? With the S-AFC????? eek! And this system gives you "no problems".
You want $3000 for a USED kit that comes with one injector and just an S-AFC? And your super-supercharger kit gives you 212 problem free Wheel Hp. sad.gif
Pardon me..I gotta stop typing...I'm laughing so hard my eys are watering...can't see the keyboard. tongue.gif
