Couple Smt-6 Questions

I know alot of you guys that have the smt-6 have dual fuel rails. I'd like to avoid this for now to keep it cheap.
Am I going to run into issues only using the stock fuel rail (non-dual) and 440cc injectors from racetronix with the smt-6? And if so where?
my plans are to just get it running right, the fmu I've been using keeps letting me run lean. planning something like 8 psi to start, maybe get it up to 10 eventually.

Please clarify what do you mean by stock one and 440cc injectors?
Do you mean by stock ecu controlling 440cc injectors?
if yes and you've got an fmu... the only thing is you are very limited on the psi

Hey you... you've just edited your post. Now, that's more clearer!!!
So... Smt-6, stock rail and 440cc's: Well i did have some problems on mine in the past... I couldn't get my ecu fuel trims to level so my idle was erratic and annoying (rpm's goes up and down, then up and down again and again) not too mention it being a little to the rich side of things (waste of fuel)
Oh, i rectified this problem by using an OBD-II Scan Tool; shows me my long and short term ecu fuel trims. This allowed me to adjust the SMT-6 according to the trims and not the AFR.
Also, you wont need the fmu when the 440's are present.
Btw, let me know if you need to know more about the scan tool, if you haven't come across one yet. I'm not using mine anymore (thanks to the secondary rail)

obviously you mean something better than those cheapo tools at autozone. could I just get your maps and modify them as needed(plan on going to a dyno to tune)? or is this fuel trim thing going to be different?

with a scan tool that shows you data
look at the long term and short term fuel trims
basicly you want them to be in the ±5% range
the closer to 0 you are the better your fuel adjutstements are
short term is the on the spot "instant" fuel trim
long term is the "avergae" all around fuel trim

thanks denis I understand, so the short one is when you punch the gas and the other is when you are cruising along. Hopefully the people at the local dyno here can help out. I sent them an email but no response just yet.
oh, btw, with the setup I'm talking about could/should I use a map sensor? and if so would that mean I could dump the maf?

you wouldnt be able to dump the MAF, if only it was that easy.. only way you can dump MAP (emanage ultimate, korean ECU kit swap, standalone.)
i have a MAP and stock MAF on mine. the MAP is used for my second fuel rail, so the ECU doesnt control that rail at all.
a MAP sensor would be good to use to monitor boost, because the MAF will get maxed out. the biggest problem with running the single rail setup, is that the ECU likes to revert back to its stock settings if adjusted to far. ( i believe that happens lol, never had that problem.)

What about moving the MAF right before the IM, would that change anything. I know the MAF can only take so much heat, but would the ECU do in that case?
