You can try to go to 8.5:1 or so and see how it works, but once again IMO you should run highest octane possible once you turbocharge the car.

I'm gonna start from the very low boost and then try to higher it so there wouldn't be detonation.

BTW, OP where is your nice avatars with some boobies?

You can always play with octane and amount of boost you are giving till you hear detonation.

My avatar is gone because when Java upated to the new software all the pictures got erased and I didn't feel like redoing that picture again, plus I'm not going out with that girl anymore.

youll never get 200 WHP on 89 octane... u mayb but not for long... any factory turbo car needs at least 91 and you think you can get away with less?

^^^ not for long? what do you mean? that it would be hard or there could be kaboom?

I'm thinking about running 5-7 psi on 8.8:1 CR (for a start)

I'm confused with octan numbers, here in Europe, we have different numbers.
All you can get on gas station is: 80, 92, 95 and 98.
I think:
80 - normal
92 - regular
95 - premium
98 - super

So I'm confused, now I use 95 octan and it may be yours 89 or 91.

How is low end on turbocharged engine with lowered CR to 8.5:1 , I've never driven any.
Is it the same as n/a Tib, better or worse?
