Can I Regulate The Oil Pressure? Or Put New Oil Pump?
hi.....like all know i have a first 1.6 turbo.....and recently a start to hear the typical sound in the VALVES TACATATATATATAATA cool.gif
I have change the oil yesterday and the valve sound again....i think that the oil pressure isn´t suficcient for the turbo lines and the valves....
so....can i regulate the oil pressure? can i change the oil PUMP? can someone say to me some solution or some performance oil pump that fit in our cars?
thanks

Get an oil pressure gauge and rev the motor to 5k and see what the pressure is. If its low, then you can shim the oil return spring in the pump housing to boost the pressure a little.
Usually though, the sound is the HLA's being starved of oil. Have you checked your oil level? When the oil level goes down, they'll make noise.
Or you could take the HLA's out and clean them, then soak them in oil for a while.
