A/C FAN Alpine Turbo USERS!
This question is for people that have teh Alpine Turbo kit smile.gif smile.gif
I was wondering if its possible to install another Stock A/C Fan in place of our Fan which is located on the drivers side.It is alot thicker than the A/C fan and would be perfect if this could be done?
I understand you can get thinner Performance Rads but cost some serious coin and IF i can try to avoid in purchasing them i will.
My question would be is IF the A/C fan could fit in place will it still work just as well as the Thicker fan into cooler the car down.
I want to get a bigger Radiator from CHRIS and im just worried the stock fan will hit against the piping on the Alpine Turbo kit!!
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks! smile.gif

I think there is some aftermarket rad. fan that is not too expensive.
Why not try intercooler water sprayer like new Evo VIII offer from stock.
Or, just buy hood spacer at the latch area to cool engine bay.
Only a few suggestion.

The Main fan moves more air than the AC fan. The AC fan would work, and maybe, in conjuction with the bigger radiator, it might be just the ticket.
But if are spending the $$$ for a new radiator, $200 on new fans is half the cost!

Random!
I dont recall what fans you purchased and where but was it a universal fit?
As you know i DONT have A/C in my car so i have the A/C Condensor fan hooked up on a seperate switch which i installed so i would only NEED one thin fan like you have purchased.
Did you have to fabricate the plug to install into the new harness on the Aftermarket fan you purchased?
Any help would be appreciate thanks smile.gif smile.gif

Often use in racing,
make a switch to turn your rad. fan to run all the time.
I dont understand what your you mean by this? Often use in racing,
make a switch to turn your rad. fan to run all the time.
I have my A/C fan wired up to a seperate switch and when the car gets HOT i turn on the fan.
Or i may just pick up another A/C Condenser fan from a scrap yard for $40 and put it in place where the bigger FAN is located on the driver side in CONJUCTION with teh LARGER raditor
If this wont bring the temps down then i am forced to purchase a Stronger thinner Aftermarket fan as Random has in his Tiburon.
