Re: Boosted Cars on this site?
I've been looking around for one, and the only one I've found is the Alpine Dev. one over at HP. I remember Redz asked RIPPMods about making one for us, and they said something about being too busy or something. Are we ever gonna get a good SC kit?

Re: DIY - RSide Advanced Short Shifter Install
Because I'm want to get more power over the majority of the RPM range, not just the higher end. Plus, I've been told the turbos put more stress on an engine than an SC.

Why you wantin' a SC? Many people think that a turbo is much better because it is lighter and you can run more boost. Just wondering man. :?
not to metnion the fact the a supercharger acutally ROBS you of power to make a little more.
while turbos on the other hand use the "free" (wasted heat energy) power from the exhaust gas to make more. and a smaller turbo is can add power to almost all of the power band (like a S/C) while being lighter, more flexible (tuning), and although using a small turbo limits the amount of boost, it SIGNIFIGANTLY reduces the "lag" that everyone is so afraid of.

not true, if a supercharger brings some power, it will bring it all the way through the whole RPM range thus puttin stress on your engine.... with a lil bigger turbo it wont be fully spooled until 3000RPM and there will be no stress at all to your car!!!!

Yeah man, someone lied to you, the SC will put more STRESS on it than the TC for us. Also, the SC, if you are very lucky and spend about 10,000 dollars, will get about 200 HP. A basic TC will get you to about 225 or higher for much less.
Just get a TC that spools at around 2500 RPM.

No you won't, highest SC dyno I've ever seen on a Beta is 199HP. Xorro. Everything from smaller pulleys to water injection.

well, i guess he had a shit*y SC then! cuz if it was customly build, for 10k he would be makin a lot more power!!!!
Xorro is still a She, I'm pretty sure of. LOL
It's the Alpine kit. Starts at like $2800. Ship it to the UK. Then all the tuning and then adding stuff, then tuning. The extra 7 grand can go quick.
