KFX's MS project has been going on for something like a year and a half. It sounds like it's up and running now and there have been some satisfied customers with running cars. It sounds like it's a solid product. I've been thinking about picking one up for the Accent.

It took a LONG time to get to this point, but I think it would be a good buy now. I would be pissed if I had gotten in on the purchase a year ago though.

I've heard a couple of people that do have it are happy, but the amount of tuning required to get it to work the way they wanted to, was more than what most people would want to do or pay for. Not sure if things have gotten easier, but from what I heard....it was a nightmare for some people because so much was involved.

From what I've read tuning the MS is pretty easy. You get it to close to what you want, then data log a drive doing various things, upload that to the tuning software and it suggests new maps.

Fuel tuning is a breeze with megasquirt as long as you have a wideband. You basically start a data-log, drive around in as many conditions as possible then feed that log through megalogviewer. Spark tuning is a bit on the tricky side but there are a few spread sheets on the MS forums that will help you get close.

Extremely easy to tune, just gotta have someone show you the first time. I've still got the prototype of this unit, and love it. You have to run a vaccum line, that's it.

I know we've had differences, but you are welcome to check it out if you want. Even the wideband is plug and play. I wish I knew more about it, as the capabilities are about endless with this thing. I don't see why anyone would go with a piggyback when they can get a full standalone like this for a good price, with no wiring hassles at all.

Let me know David.
