Right now there are no internals on the market that will out live a STEEL block (with no casting imperfections) that's aged and has no stress cracks or veins.

I have a ross pistons with crower rods that can take 800hp of abuse. Tranny won't take that amount of hp. Maybe 600MAX with a lot of work. Having the HP required to explode blocks is useless in a fwd car.

Ya the LSx block that imploded on 55psi was making what? 1700whp? Think a beta can do that? LOL. You'll never see a beta with an block failure unless it has imperfections in the casting or stress veins.

Can we put this thread to rest now?

How about this: everybody that doesn't have or know of a car running 2bar+ boost, shut up with the off-topic B.S. already. It seems we all lost sight of the legitimate (if trivial) question that opened this thread in the first place.

The point was "gee I had a random question blow through my mind let me make a new thread"

Trivial responses: boosting post counts since UBB 1.0!

I got my question answered I'm happy. So stress test the block then boost the crap out of it. Check.

found out i cracked my block in cylinder #1

safe tune, gt35r at about 18 psi

but.. this engine has been in the car and abused since 2001 (NA, nitrous, T3 super 60 @ 20-25psi)

i need to get it out and sonic test it to see exactly what happened

either the block had a casting flaw in this area, either it`s the 10 years abuse

time to get T deck sleeves?...
