Anyone tried a leaf blower yet? I was just looking at one today and it blows over 500CFM. I'm not sure about the pressure it can generate. It seems that It would be easy enough to send some fuel and have it start with the engine..
Another option would be to just take the compressor off the leaf blower and rig that to a belt. I'm just throwing ideas here. I really don't know how it would work.
Any input?

I had a supercharger in my 99 TRD Solara. I miss the whine that a good roots SC makes.
Leaf blowers cannot provide anything like the SC effect because the SC works relative to engine speed. The leaf blower effect would only make SOME different at WOT. Even then, it can provide more restriction instead of gains.
Stay away from Tornadoes, Leaf Blowers and any such crap.

... Well I dunno about that. Some of those electric superchargers pump 500CFM constantly... The only downfall to them is that they will drain your battery and runin your alternator quickly. This could be a cheap, safe alternative.

Your other problem is that a leaf blower can blow a lot of air, not compress it, and there's a huge difference there. Try plugging the end of a blower and you'll likely hear it bog way down and likely not compress the air inside very much.
Just because something can move a lot of air doesn't mean it can handle the back pressure of compression.

There ye go. It works, but you can't really fit it under a hood can you. 11whp gain ftw.
