Alpine Turbo Kit works great!!!
UFB,
What clutch are you using? It has been impossible to find a single plate clutch because of Hyundai's design to handle power above the 250 BHP mark. We have destroyed them all... Korean, Japanese, American and Australian. The only thing that seems to hold the power is a twin plate clutch from HKS. Do you guys have a viable option for high high hp applications... if you do can you get me some specs.
Thanks,
Cheuk

Hi guys,
Applogies for the mistake above - I have corrected it already, Random WILL NOT be stocking the Turbo Kit mentioned above, Instead it is Hyundai Performance that will be retailing these kits in the new year! Appologies about that mistake Rob - too many late nights at the workshop rolleyes.gif
Cheuk - we use our own clutch plate, it is a 4 button sintered copper clutch plate (it is not spring dampened) that has lasted almost 12000km's in my Tibby so far with alot of aggresive driving. We also drained the oil from the standard G/box during development testing and broke the Gearbox on the dyno after almost an hour and a half or continuous loading at 5000RPM before the G/box overheated and melted 4th gear!. The power produced during this test on the Dyno was 192KW and 400NM at 5000RPM (+ - 257HP) Thats another story and the pics can be found on http://communities.msn.com/HyundaiTiburon/...ackmonster.msnw
That very same clutch plate is still in the Tibby currently, and shows no signs of mercy as yet. It uses the standard pressure plate and we have had no problems so far. The only issue with the Standard Hyundai Tiburon clutch setup is that the clutch release bearing (thrust bearing) clips into the pressure plate and they act as a single unit - which is almost impossible to run a double diaphram clutch setup - HKS manufacture and custom designed clutch which overcomes this problem. I haven;t seen the HKS product personally but I believe with their setup you are able to run the standard clutch plate. Correct me if I am wrong.

We're not sure abut pricing yet, but you'll be able to order it towards the end of January when our new e-commerce section of the site launches.
