I'm anxious to see this. It'd be nice to see some options. They definitely had to do something about both their kits. It's almost like they went half-ass on two kits when they could have just done a good job on one of them.

it is still a roots...but if it comes automatically with 6 psi and you have other things ontop of it...you shoul definitely be able to go over the 200whp mark

yet if you bought a turbo kit from somewhere like speedfactor you probably would break 200 with some tuning heck tim has his car runnin close to the 300 mark i think and hes using stock internals

personally i like the feel of a supercharger but for a constant 40-50 hp i wouldnt have spent 3 grand on it

speedfactors kits cost about a grand less than that

it is a roots style blower... i think its the same blower as before.. there is a new manifold for the beta 2 that they are using now... and obviously, they have a smaller pulley to get 6psi out of the same blower.....

and another thing... considering that i'm using a zero backpressure exhaust system...

i may never reach 6 psi even with the smaller pulley BUT the CFM will still be up there and i may reach the same power output as with a more restrictive exhaust which tends to artificially inflate the boost #'s without any increase in cfm at all...

has anyone ever considred this idea ?

good point... i have not measured my backpressure... (I dont have the tools to do that)... but at least with a straight through muffler and no cats... there will be less back-pressure than otherwise... thats really what I mean.

I have the stock 1.8L J1/J2 Elantra 4-2-1 header on my 2003 XD.

also, my XD came with TWO cats from the factory.. either way, both are gone ! LOL

here is a shot of my engine bay as it looks now... notice the OEM heat shield that came on the older model J1/J2 elantras...

and here is what it looks like with the heat shield off:
