I just ordered the beta 2 alpine blower kit smile.gif

 

As in SC?

God WHY???

 

pros...

1. easy to install / remove.
2. does not require opening the motor.
3. gives instant torque / boost for my fav. kind of racing.
4. less complicated to work with, less parts as turbo...
5. ?

cons..

1. less power output as turbo.
2. less potential for more power if i want it later on..
3. impossible to intercool due to the manifold design.
4. ?

I didn't know you had to open the engine if you went turbo. I thought that was just if you wanted to change compression or pistons.

As for constant boost, you can do that with a Turbo too, just set it to spool lower.

But it's your decision.

well if you buy the alpine turbo kit you have to take the head off to put that decompression gasket on. Oh well, good luck bro

 

you cant set a turbo to spool lower, but you can buy a smaller turbo, or one of the garret gt series turbos. wink.gif

 

that 40 horsepower figure was the old SC...this is a new design from what i have read/heard...so it could make more then that...it comes with 6psi and no need to open the engine.

Ford i'm with ya...cant wait for the install!

 

6 psi *might* get you up to 200whp... thats if you have a good header and a good exhaust sytem

unless their new system ISNT a roots style blower
