Default 3 stage turbo, need your oppinions

Is it safe to run 5 psi boost on 92 octan with stock engine (stock compression ratio), stock injectors, turbo diesel intercooler and without fuel pressure regulator. I think I should use 2 bar MAP sensor and piggy-back. Am I right?

I'm thinking to install turbo kit in 3 stage:

1) 5 psi - stock compression ratio (CR=10,3:1), stock injectors.
2) 8 psi - head spacer (CR=9,3:1), 400cc injectors
3) 12 psi - forged pistons (CR=8,5:1), 400cc injectors

Dude, that's ultra-conservative. You can easily run 8 psi on a completely stock Beta 1.

I think you'll be fine with 5psi and the piggyback, I'd up the fuel some to be safe if you don't have a wideband or dyno tuning available.

8PSI may be pushing the poor little injectors a little hard... especially when yours have 118,000 miles on them or something like that? I would keep it @ 5PSI till you get new ones. Blowing an injector is not something to do when under boost.

I think you've got it with a good plan.

I'm looking to install low budget setup and extend it in future.

So 5 psi on 92 octan stock CR and injectors will fine. I'm afraid of detonation and lean situation.

BTW I found a place with wideband. There isn't dyno but power can be measured there with G-sensor.

So what about 5 psi on 92 octan and stock injectors and stock compression ratio? Is it ok? Is it safe?

Sounds nice.

So what will the 5psi turbo kit cost ya in total ?

I wanted to safe stuff to trade my rd2 for a Tuscani laugh.gif:

But after the new rims, I completely fallen in love with the car. Just wanting to get me a bodykit and a turbo.

I don't know exact price. I think it would be around $1,000 (with used turbo and intercooler, new SAFC2 or new eManage). Some parts will be custom made (equal lenght exhaust manifold, piping)

But I will add bigger injectors and decompression plate in a while to increase boost. As I understand turbo system is very flexible. You can add/change just some parts to increase boost/hp.

I want to start with small. It would be my first project.

5PSI on 92 octane should be more than safe, especially with an intercooler. The car won't be too much faster than stock at that stage, especially if you go too large on the intercooler. On a T3, considering engine wear you have, I would put you @ around 145whp. Once the decompression plate and larger injectors go in, you could realistically see 200whp.
