Default Those done or have done a Transmission Swap for a BETA engine

I have discovered something while working a project to stiffen up the stock motor mounts.

One reason why I was getting so much engine movement.

The front roll mount, on the center member. Uses a bigger bolt for the Automatic. Twice the size infact.

So when you switch to the manual transmission. You will need to also get the chassis side (rubber) of the part as well.

Otherwise, you the small bolt will leave slack inside the rubber mount hole.

There are two mods you can do and save yourself $50 bucks for a new chassis side rubber mount.

1. Enlarge the hole on the transmission side bracket to accept the bigger bolt from the automatic.

2. Find some way to fill the hole. I use a 5/8 diameter piece of injector hose. Its fits perfect and snug.

Just put a split down the side. It will make removing the bolt easier. It was my simple fix.

good luck and enjoy the 5spd smile.gif
