Default Straight cut gears

Would running straight cut gears in a beta transmission (for beta swapped people) make any type of big difference in performance? Do they even make them for beta's?

No, and no. Straight-cut gears are only really preferable if they are cut for strength, and the transmission in a car using a Beta will be more than strong-enough for street use and light track use (except 5th gear). Besides being possibly stronger, they are much louder. Consider the noise your car makes when going in reverse, louder, in all forward gears. Anyone breaking beta transmission *gears* on a regular basis would probably have the budget required to have a custom gearbox made up.

The only benefit to straight cut gears is strength. They're usually only found in non-synchronized dog-boxes.

The cost is horrendous. PAR engineering offered straight cut gearsets for the s-coupe GT many moons ago, and the price was somewhere north of $5k.

They still sound cool th0
