I can shift adequately with my left arm, although it would get annoying. If I can touch the shifter with my wrist or fingertips on the right hand, I'll be fine.

i multi task my lefty for both steering and shifting, when i make a turn, i compensate for need of downshifting by already shifting to a lower with lefty and steer.
steering and shifting just need to be timed right.

I have never broken my arm, but my left foot was torn up recently. People seemed amazed I was able to use the clutch with the superboot on. It really wasn't that hard, I just had to make sure my foot/leg was over a little bit more than normal to keep the superboot away from the brake. Arm, no problem just annoying.
