What does having the same transmission as the 1999 model have to do with warranty?

They don't exist.

The next best thing is www.levelten.com who can rebuild your existing transmission.

Or, Libra Racing may have an extra one lying around from one of their rally Tiburons.

race tranny? mmmm I would say get ona DSM site and ask them were they go for race automatics. Hyundai automatic is pretty much the same crappy auotmatic the mitsu use. So any shop should be able to work on. when I use to have mine, I was qouted $2k from a regular transmission shop.

good to fix the slipping and be quicker off the line.
