HMASERVICE is not designed to give part numbers. They only reference part numbers when a new part superceeds an older part.

What's your question? What's a torque converter do? If so it's what you bolt to the flex plate to run an automatic tranny instead of a clutch. It's the part that lets you have your engine idling when sitting still in park without it killing your engine.

They're close but not identical.
They take different clutches but you can go back or forth.

So indirectly a S-coupe Turbo pushing 250 whp as long as you have a clutch designed for it the trannie can handle it and so may a 1.6 trannie?

Yeah. I mean obviously it will have less reliability but it'll probably take it. If you switch trannys go with the Spectra5 tranny it has a low final drive and has the typical Beta tranny strength.

You say to switch for the KIA spectra 5 speed?

Yeah, Kia wanted the Spectra 5 to be quicker so they geared it lower instead of giving it more power. It's 5 speed will bolt to your engine but you'll need new mounts. If you want higher top speed look through the gear ratios of other Beta trannys. I would say wait until yours gives you trouble though. Turbo cars are not as hard on trannys as N/A cars of similar power output.
