What does a throttle body spacer do?

A throttle body spacer increases the space between the throttle body and the intake manifold (the spacer itself is 3/4" and with two throttle body gaskets is approx 1") which adds more volume to the intake manifold by increasing the plenum volume. The thermal gaskets themselves isolate the heat in between the TB and the IM and as we've seen with other thermal products, lower engine temps = more power. Gaskets are not needed for the install but are usually an easy addition since you already have the TB disconnected. On various platforms we have seen gains of approximately 4-6 hp to the wheels.

What are the two holes on the spacer?

This is an added feature that we added for the Genesis spacer. The port holes allow you to tap in for nitrous, different gauges, etc. This added feature also gives the spacer features of a vacuum block. If not needed, just use the included plugs to close them up.

Maybe somebody with more knowledge than me can answer this. Would the 2.0L spacers for the Genesis fit Beta motors out of the RD Tibs? I don't know much about the Genesis motors except size. I haven't had the time to see if the 2.0 is just a turbo Beta II.

That's a good question, I'm not sure without seeing them side by side unfortunately, but if you have any measurements and want to compare drop us a line at sales@throwdownperformance.com and we'll compare for you

Also, on the 2.0T there is good chances that this will also work on the Sonata, Optima, etc. and we will be doing some testing on that shortly.
