I have a 1997 tib, bought used about 3 months ago. Within these 3 months I've left my headlights on at least 6-7 times, to find out the next morning my car won't start. I've learned to just carry cables in the trunk.
Anyways, it's my stupudity for always leaving my headlights on but I'm used to a <ding> <ding> alarm or warning when the headlights are on and the door is open. I've noticed there is no warning, that's seemed wierd since it's a 1997. So, all you 97 tib owners here's the question:

Is there a headlight warning signal on our cars for when you leave your headlights on?

I've been to lazy to check if there's a fuse missing or broken, but maybe someone in here can save me the trouble. lol.gif

Thank you sparticus I'll take that into consideration. I just want to know if the 97's come with the warning signal or not.

No, we'll leave it open.

Is there any way to ADD one?

i'm sure there is it wouldn't take much. just an anoying buzzer and a few relays. like the relay trips to power when the ignition is off. that would actually be simple.

It can be done but it's more of a PITA to do it then just remember to turn your lights off.

I had the same exact problem. First year I had it I had to Replace two batteries. Now I'll do it once in a while.

My question is why do you leave them on. Cause if it's at night time you should be able to see that you left them on?? I was stupid and never checked. It was really bad when i was going to school. I would turn them on cause I was on the highway. I always like to let people know if there is FUZZ around doing radar. And it is useful too because there are a lot of trucks that use my stretch of the highway.

it wouldn't big that big of a pain in the ass. all you need is a relay, some wire and some t taps. it would probally take 1hr at most.
