yeah guys so do i, thats why i think it should stay on the front page, maybe just make the article link into a link directly to the DIY forum.

I think that would be one thing the newbs would really remember about this site, that would be the 1st place i looked, before going to the other forums for info.

I mean, java's in the process of cleaning out the users, a very lage number of the members of this site don't ever post.
I can think of four reason for that

1.) They didn't find the site useful enough
2.) Found the info they needed and went on thier way, not contributing the crooked h community (at least not here)
3.) Were flamed for newb comments and/or mistakes and went elsewhere (more likely at hp then here, but still possible)
4.) Were looking for parts and this site doesn't sell any

Redzman, I meant move the DIY articles into the forums. smile.gif Yes, got the money, they go out tomorrow.

Tibwrcsbj, Those are good points as well. I don't think #3 pertains though, I have yet to see any major newb flaming going on here. wink1.gif

yeah thats true java, but it doesn't necessarily have to be a major flame to give someone a dislike of the site.

I can think of one in particular but most of that was at hp.com, and he has since reformed laugh.gif

oh yeah, at least for me, the my gallery link on the home page doesn't work. I think there are also issues w/ the new gallery software, i uploaded 3 pics and REDZ approved them and haven't been able to upload any since, even after deleting one of them.

Double post kind of, sorry.

I set up the link on the main page so that it links to the DIY section of the forums.
I combined interior and ICE.
I created a Maintenance Section, moved DIY there.

So far so good.

Java, what about the rest of my ideas up top?

I think several of them are very good, a couple are ok, and 2 or 3 suck ass.

LOL

what about making turbo/nitrous/extreme na all in one forum, since they all have to do with changing compression and upping your fuel system. and add a MAINTANENCE&HELP forum under maintanence.

then maybe make a mild performance/general performance forum seperate from the extreme mod forum for I/H/E and other things.

maybe......

EXTREME MODS

MILD MODS/GENERAL PERFORMANCE

as the title. then put examples of each underneath. then we could get rid of "engine and transmission". since questions about it could be posted in MAINTANENCE&HELP, and performance upgrades could be posted in general performance.

and tibwrcsbj, when i said to get rid of the users online box, i was talking about the "Users last seen" box, not the big thing in the middle. i agree, that big box is very good, i just think that organizing the names differently will be needed once this site gets big.
