Server Problems, Looking for Suggestions
Honestly, no. If the problem is indeed because of Army/Arcade, then they need to stay off. However, I don't think the problem has been confirmed yet. Could just be sucky hosting.
And I remember that we DID have problems in the past, before Army/Arcade.

i think that we should get rid of the army because it only takes space and really does not do much for the forum itself people come here for the dedication to tibs not the army that is an unneeded plus that seems to be making a bigger problem than fun. mad.gif plus it henders things for the majority of people that are buying stuff and whatever else
Army System and Arcade should be here, they makes RDT bigger than just a forum. But forums shouldn't suffer from them. They shold be here only if there will be enough bandwidth.

I'm not sure on the answers for most of these guys.
I DO know that Comcast has 8Meg connections avaiable now for decent prices, and I was thinking of doing that with our own server. Either that or we need a place to put the site that someone will be able to help us fix issues when they arrive.
The thing is, as I stated in the first post of this thread, it's NOT the Army System or the Arcade. Those were first guesses.
We've been getting bandwidth warnings for months now, and last month we went over.
What I'd like to know is...
1. Who here has connections that we could get a decent price hosting solution for?
2. Who's gonna sign up as a premium member to help pay for it? (We are hosted for free right now with Breck, but can't ever get ahold of him.)
I hope Java sees this and posts. If we get some stats and stuff, I'll look around this weekend some.
