Priority Postings
I usually am on RD almost everyday, but there are bouts when I may not get on for a week or even a month. I have noticed that there are a few things I have missed out on by missing the posts. I know that we can sticky threads, but is there a way to make a thread priority over all others when we look at posts since last visit? For example, this would be used for new products available or custom parts, new group buys, etc. Only Mods could make a thread priority, just like with the sticky.
One item that would have been nice to do this would have been something like the emblems redz had made up, or the group buy for the Apexi exhaust. This way there is less chance of people missing out on something they may be interested in. I know it can be a pain to look through 20+ pages of posts when it has been a while since I have logged on.
If this will not work, perhaps create a tread category for hot items and buys that can be linked to the regular area for the thread to be posted, that way we can just go to that one section to see if there is anything of interest, regardless of it being for exterior, interior, engine, etc. This may be a better idea or easier to set up than priority threads. Just a thought....

Exactly my point. That is why mods will only be able to set it, just like with sticky's. Well, if there is no way to do a priority set-up, creating a "hot topic" thread for products should be easy enough. Or, maybe just sticky hot items in their appropriate section so they appear at the top when people browse through the sections that don't log on often. That would be the easiest I suppose.
