Default Full screen editor is borked.

I am demonstrating the problem in the attached video.

As you can see, there is no cursor present in this window.

I can only move the mouse by right clicking the area which I wish to place the cursor and then left clicking again.

This not only affects Linux, but it also affects iPhone as well.

Look at this VNC of my phone, recording of a Linux desktop and a Windows virtual machine. All three fail!

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/RigjDvDiAOA"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/RigjDvDiAOA" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
You may need to view this ultrahigh resolution video on youtube.

Please post if you cannot reposition your cursor in the full screen "add reply" editor. I've just demonstrated the problem across 3 separate operating systems yet noone has said anything about it.

Works perfectly fine for me, and I know Floyd had mentioned it worked fine for him too. So not sure theres anything we can do about it considering you're a unique case. tongue.gif

I had a problem with it once, not sure what fixed it (rebooting?) but I was using an older version of IE and Windows at the time.

What browsers have proven to be a problem? Is it a conflict with Linux, or maybe the skin you're using?

Unless it's something in the skin, I can't see what would cause it rather than something hard coded in the forum software.

Works fine on my Android

It's not a conflict with Linux. Those 3 machines are fully separated. That's Linux firefox running natively, Windows XP firefox in it's own fully separated environment, and iPhone in it's own fully separated environment. A virtual machine is not aware of it's host, it only draws resources from it. iPhone is only displaying it's output in the window. It works fine under internet explorer or google chrome.

Ok, that's wierd.... can you tell me what your setting is on this page? I'm using rich text editor.

Type of text editor to use when posting
Rich Text Editor requires either IE6+, Mozilla / Firefox or Opera 9+

I just switched from rich text to standard and everything seems to work fine. It would appear that rich text is broken for firefox and iPhone. I tried a few different skins.

I'm at work - rich text works fine on IE8. I'm sure it works fine on FF, too, since my settings would carry over when I'm at home.
what version of FF are you running?
