this probably belongs in either the "for sale" or "off topic" forum. but what is your experience? qualifications? links to any project cars you've worked on? if i were you, i'd go around and post answers to the problems on the board, and establish yourself that way, so people know that you know what you're talking about (assuming you do poke )

Well, the fact that you have a Hyundai definately helps.

You also might wanna list what you've done to your car for us. Good idea to ask on here though.

Welcome.

This doesn't really fit into the "wanted" or "For Sale" catagories...but I guess "For Sale" is the closest.

Moving thread to FOR SALE forum.

First off I own a 2001 accent 1.5L sohc. I have full internals( forged rods, pistons, and better rings. Also ceramic coated the piston tops and valves.) I am currently running a 150 shot direct port wet nx kit. Also I have an RPW ceramic coated brass button clutch, cutom axles, and haltech stand alone. Cutom intake, nx maximiser nitrous controller, lowered with apex springs, sparco pedals, sparco wheel, sparco shift knob and boot, and sparco seats that match wheel and boot. I am going to buy a carbon hood from hdk. Also I have rota circuit 8's with 205/40R17 falcon azenas. I am soon welding a roll cage as I autocross this car often, manly for looks though. After that I will probably get the jetspeed body kit.

As for my experience, I have a 2 year associate degree in automotive repair, I am a fully certified ase master technician, I have my cct(chevrolet certified training) I have been in the feild for about 6 years and worked as a used car technician for about the first 2 years. I currently work for Heiser Chevrolet. I have never worked for a ****ty side shop, No money there. I am co partners in an import performance shop called rev tech motorsports. I build import engines for my friends shop called hyperformance. At rev tech I have pretty much done it all. Ls vetech swaps, sr20det swaps, built honda engines, nitrous and turbo setups. You name it I have probably done it!!!!! I do not profer to give advise on repairs for free, understand that I do this for a living not to be mean, but that is how it is. I will however help people on this board as much as I can without looking at the car. anyone that has difficult problems is more than willing to email me at tfplayer69@yahoo.com.

Well, good to see that you are keeping up 2k.

Heh heh...

Anyways, try to stay away from multiple posts in a row. If you have more you want to add, click the edit button, it looks like this

Do you have any dyno's or pics of your car? Would love to see a hooked up Accent like that.

Lastly, watch out with HDK, they have a spotty service record to say the least, and alot of their products are low quality.

So, let's put some of that knowledge to the test...

On your Haltech standalone, what are the engagement points for your nitrous kit? And why did you choose those points?

What version of the firmware are you running, and what version of the programming software are you running? Did you use the stock 3-wire BAC or choose to use a standard GMC 2-wire ISC?

I was also curious who built your rods, who built your pistons, what the dish volume is on your piston (since I'm assuming you went lower compression) and what the ring thicknesses are on the 1st and 2nd rings, along with the radial depths used.

If you can provide answers to the above, I might believe you wink
