Scca Ssc 1997 Hyundai Tiburon Fx Showroom Stock C Class
Yup, it was me who bought it. Thanks for the congrats! Also, the valves have been enlarged and the rev limiter is gone. The guy said it runs 7K RPMs all day with no problem. The highest he's taken it up to is 7.4K RPMs and he said it felt like it could keep going! (but I wouldn't do that). I can't wait to pick it up Saturday. banana.gif

you're the same dude that got jipped on that previous tib on auction on eBay... right? outbid @ 1 second left to bid....
Damn man, REALLY though. CONGRATULATIONS!! I don't think you understand how GREAT of a deal you just scored. Seriously, this is comparable to Hobgoblin's cheap ass deal on the F2 Tiburon...
You two lucky bastards, well glad your gripes and complaints thread came to a happy ending! wink1.gif
You ARE the same dude right?

Yea, I mentioned he was a couple threads up.
I'll make sure to drag him out to the Autocross as much as possible. And hopefully I can get someone to copy that rollcage for my car. At least the rear harness bars and rollbar.
Damn, I'm excited and I don't even own it. lmao.gif

The deal just got sweeter... the guy can't get to the trailer this weekend (it's at one of his friends house) so he said, "if you want, you can rent a trailer from u-haul for $50 and then just buy the car without the trailer for $3,000". Since I plan on making it "street legal", of course I said hell yeah.
Now, all I need to do is make sure I can borrow a truck saturday. Oh... and an engine hoist to get the engine off the truck and in my garage. Hmmm... where have I heard someone say they have a hoist? 33.gif
LOL seriously, if you're free saturday, I've never even used an engine hoist much less owned one. I'm also pretty sure I'm going to be pawning off some of the dozen wheels the car comes with very cheaply to locals. wink1.gif

^^LMAO.... ultimate pwnage!
What'd you spend your $5000 dollars on? That POS rd2?
...I spent 2/3 that on this Rd1. owned.gif
nice find. Bring it to some big events if you ever street-modify it. Like the Sandia MotorSpeedWay event in ABQ, NM once we get around to doing/planning that. Or the ABQ BBQ. fing02.gif
