We just bought a Kawisaki Ninja250R. The bike's MSRP is $2999. I doubt he'd be willing to trade the tiburon for the bike.

Besides...the Wife to be wouldn't be so crazy about that either!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Car can run all day at 7,000 RPM.</div>
So it's a completely stock engine and they rev to 7k?? ...

Wow, this almost seems too good to be true.....

the motor has been COMPLETELY REBUILT and only raced on ONCE since?
it comes WITH the trailer?
custom full anti-roll cage?
also comes with FOURTEEN sets of wheels, six with tires
AND a spare motor....!?

WOW.

only thing I wonder about is the tranny..

I almost want to buy it just to have a fresh motor and clean body...I could sell the roll cage, most sets of wheels, and the trailer once I got it back .. LOL. omg...

You'd never get the roll cage out of there in "saleable" form.

Yeah, it is an unbelieveable deal for $3500.

I haven't figured out how they run the engine @ 7000RPM considering the stock limiter kicks in @ 6750... I'm wondering if they have a "flashed' ECU or if they use some aftermarket ECU? Don't ask me how they get away with that in the "Showroom stock" class....

Uhm, Java is getting rid of his tib for a reason mang.

So, what if everymember throws in like 10~12 bucks, we would "own" the car for a while (so it doesn't fall into the wrong hands) and then we do one of either:
1) Keep it "home" until somebody else here can buy it (within 2~3 months after purchase)
2) Have it as a "pet" or RDTiburon showcar to take it to NOPI and other festivals
3) Make a Ruffle in which every doner has one option
Then you move somewhere else, being Texas the first choice! drillsergeant.gif
White is a racy, color, plus it would be your track car, get it know!</div>

Sounds like an idea. #2 is the best idea, or we could do a site raffle for the car.

We've raised $600 in less than 4 hours before, we could DO this if folks wanted to.

I would if I could man.

DAMNIT, to think, I just had more than enough to buy this damned thing.

Couple of questions, not that I'm interested in buying, but...If it's for stock class why was the engine rebuilt? If anything was changed/upgraded then it wouldn't be stock. If it's stock how's it running to 7k rpms? If it's stock class, why is it race only, non-street? If it only needs the proper lighting added back on, why wouldn't they say that. I would be more inclined to purchase a "dual-use" vehicle than a race only vehicle.

You can rebuild engine's for Stock class, You just have to use stock parts. You can play with the tolerances to end up with a slighly higher compression better running engine, but still have it "stock".

The 7000RPM is a mystery, but it's possible they used a reflashed ECU or ???

It might be listed as "race only" due to the removal of airbags and emissions equipment (evap cansier and possibly cats) plus the fuel cell, etc..etc.. Those mods would make it not street legal in most states.

considering how many track events there are between Firebird International Raceway and Phoenix International Raceway and all the free track time I build up from working corners, I'd LOVE to own this vehicle. I'd do some things to the engine of course and bump it up a class...

Anyone want to buy my sexy tib and I'll use the monies to get this? ....

anyone? ..seriously..
