here is what i was talking about with the buttons...

the faces for the rd2 controls are bigger than the holes that you have to pull them through to get them out. so, you have to take the faces off. to do this, you have to get to the clips ive pointed out in this picture...

the only problem is that there is almost no room to get to the clips from the top. the rd1 controls have faces that are smaller than the switch holes, so you can slide them right out.

it would be easy if you could slide the switches out forward, but the switch assembly gets bigger than the hole towardsd the back.

sometimes, i would break one of the clips on the top to make it easier. i even broke the whole switch once, because the internal switch was pulled out to far and it busted up.

Tibwrc, if you bought it, have it shipped direct to him to save some time and money.

I do that all the time.

Tibby01, is there a way to unsnap them and move them a bit forward? To get the fronts off?

REDZ, thanks mang, but i live close enough that shipping will only like 5 bucks....its just easier for me to have them shipped to me....especially since tibby asked me to try and get the buttons out before i send the unit to him.

There has got be be some sort of tool to get them off.......
REDZ can you check w/ david to see about getting one??? and then maybe a couple of us can go in on the cost together (not that i expect it to be alot, but it would still help)
Just a thought.

i dont think you can get them forward at all. im pretty sure i tried that, but maybe i didnt.

some type of hook might work. like maybe even a really small fishing hook.
