^^^ Thanks!
Taking the vents out isn't too hard. It takes a little while, but it's not really hard at all. For the center ones, you have to take your dash off, but not all the way. (The hardest part is taking it completely off and worrying about the wiring). You can get it far off enough to get the vent portion off without disconnecting any cables. The side ones, you simply have to take off your door panels (really easy) and remove 5 or so screws. Check out the DIY on how do install these, it's pretty helpful, but once you actually get in there, it's really easy. To actually install them in the vents, I drilled a 1/4 inch hole for the wires, put it in place, and secured it with fishing line in about 2 other spots (drilling a 1/16 inch hole [or using an awl] for the line to go through). Then simply reinstall, wire up, and you're good to go! First ones took me about a little under an hour (I'm really slow...), but then the other side only took me about 15 minutes)
As for my window switches, Tibby01 has a DIY on that: DIY. The pics are down, but it's pretty easy. Basically, once your door panel is taken apart, open up the switch (few little tabs), desolder the circuit board (Hyundai solder is pretty hard, but not too terrible), then desolder the LEDs, and solder your own back in there. Be careful as too much heat can kill an LED really fast. (I left the legs on my LEDs and soldered it to a farther away place on the board).

PM sent in regard to the angel eyes, I should be able to make them by Wednesday, if all goes right.

Anybody else one a set since I'm already making another? wink1.gif

I realized I may have run into a little problem. I'm used to making vent halos for the RD2, and I had just assumed they were the same for the RD1, however, I'm now second guessing that... I'm pretty sure the door vents are the same, but I'm not completely sure about the middle ones. If someone could get me dimensions for the vent sizes for the RD1, that would be really helpful! I measured the outsides of the middle vents to get a general dimension of 60mm high and 72mm wide (they're in a an oval shape) I know that's the case for the RD2, I'm just not completely sure if that's so for the RD1. If there's any chance someone can quickly measure the outsides of the middle vents and confirm those sizes, that would be awesome.
There's also a DIY with the dimensions (for the RD2) at: http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?showtopic=9152 That's the dimensions I'm going with, so I really need to find out if there's a difference...

Holeshot, once I get this dimension thing figured out, I'd be more than happy to make you a set, and I'll just charge $60, even though it's a different color.

BlizgaXx, let me know when you're close, and I'll start making them.

Also, if people want window switches done with an LED instead of stock, I can do that too!

Someone please help me out with those dimensions!

LNHeart, I'm just going to assume the thingamabobers are your window switches tongue.gif . Yeah, to get any of those things made, you'd have to send me your part, then I'd fix em up good, then send it back to you. So yeah, you'd be out that part for about a week, but I don't think it's super needed for you to be able to drive it...
BTW, the LEDs in the switches also look sooooo great, I would like to know why Hyundai didn't do that originally... You can see them in the pic.

Pat, I don't have a sunroof, and I think that would be too high, so I took it from the trunk, just below the hinge. It was on a tripod for a 2.5 second exposure in a really dark garage, and I had a separate flash unit that I fired while it was exposing.

Someone help me out with the RD1 dimensions!

to help you out....

RD1 DOOR vents = RD2 door vents. In all aspects, they are identical.

I'm pretty darn sure the middle vents (in the console facia) are identical as well, but lucky for you I have both the center vents from an RD1 and Rd2, so I'll measure and post. wink1.gif

Bump!! Still for sale, any color you want, $60 shipped to the US! RD1 or RD2

Can also do LEDs in the window switches, and the door handle LED mod.
