Knock it of enigo, if you aren't interested then don't post. I think the antennas he made look really great, and if at some point here I have money I very well might pick one up.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (tibby01 @ Apr 13 2007, 07:25 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>i actually think the 13" one looks as good or better than the shorter antenna here, and its ability to bend more will mean less chance of causing damage to the mount if you leave it on through a car wash or something. it also comes with an adapter than makes it look like a really oem install.
but as said before, reception was pretty shitty. also, i have had pretty bad oxidation in between the adapter and the antenna, even with some dielectric grease in there to keep moisture out. i would swap out for this antenna if i had the money, but i do not.</div>
Did you watch the videos of the crushing tests? That thing is not goign to break in a carwash. And you don't NEED an adapter for it. It is made to fit only Hyundais. And the connector screw is stainless steel, not the raw metal most adapters are made out of, so no corrosion.

Nope, you're added to the list on the thread with an (RDT) next to your name. Thanks!

Comes in white or black with adapters to fit Hyundai, or Ford, or Chrysler, or GM. Had mine for 5+ years, got one for my wife's mustang 3-4 years ago. No problems (except for drive-thru car wash ripping it out when I had antenna ball on it years ago, but I just put threading tape around it and screwed it back in)</div>
Ok? Autozone has generic short antennas that don't have strong adapters. Go for it.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (enigo @ Apr 13 2007, 09:26 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Meh... was just joking a little bit. Honestly didn't see any pictures of your antenna on a RD1 or 2, and since its a RD forum, thought you might post a pic or 2 of your antenna installed.
As to why its so cheap on ebay? Probably because they make tons of antennas and can mass-produce them...
Honestly if you want to sell them, don't make your potential customers search through a 5 page thread on another forum to find a picture.</div>
I don't need to sell these. These take a lot of time to make, and am offering them because I see so many people asking for good antennas. If you don't want it, don't buy it. If you like it, I promise that you'll love it. The pictures, list, and all information are on the first post, but thanks for the helpful comment. I know what I'm doing.

Just about. Obviously, as with all shorter antennas, it won't be as good as stock, especially with AM, but it will be pretty darn close and usually an unnoticeable difference.

Should of asked and didn't notice it anywhere on either post...will you send an e-mail or update the thread on NT.com when the item is shipped?
Thanks, looking forward to getting it and would be more than happy to take some photos to post once I have it installed.

c'mon guys!
you and I are always complaining about not having people who make parts for our RDs.
Now we have a member who makes stuff for our RDs for cheap, but you are still complaining about it having higher price than ebay ones.
I'd rather pay $10 more for more durable, functional, and nice looking parts.

Not to mention buying it from someone who's been around the Hyundai community for awhile, and is (apparently, since I don't know him personally) reliable and dependable.

^^ There you have it.
Now STFU if you have any further complaints. From what I can see, the only reason not to buy these is if you're cheap, you don't like how they look, or you're handicapped.
All three of those excuses have been covered in this thread by various people so far, so lets just move on with posts that have some substance to them.

I just want to clarify, I wasn't suggesting NOT to buy this product. The antennas look good, much better than stock. I don't doubt their reception. I was just offering the fact that AutoZone does carry a short antenna. I actually went ot AutoZone to check on my lunch break, and the one near work did not have them. It's possible they don't carry them anymore.
Good job Paul on creating some classy antennas fing02.gif Good luck with the sales
