<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DrivingTibNaked @ May 20 2007, 07:01 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I just wanted to point out that the best radio reception can be obtained with a 60" antenna, the next best is 30, next is 15, then 7.5. A 6" antenna is not really tuned for radio reception.</div>

so DTN, since you like the best of everything on your car, do you have a 5 ft. antenna on your car? this post made no sense whatsoever since you personally don't know how well these work.

how tight are you guys trying to put these on? I put one on both my tibs and no one of them stripped out.

I only hand tightened the one I had break and only until it felt snug. I was very careful, making sure I didn't over-tighten it. There isn't much contact area between the bolt and the bottom of the antenna part.

If tightening is an issue, why not use something like lock-tite?

DTN, you are warned, topic split, stop posting off topic. You are now at %50 warning level, that means 50% more and you are permanently banned.

Guys, read the thread. The seller specifically stated that they will not perform as well as a stock one, but close. It's a shorter antenna, it's not going to work as well, period, but it'll look better.

Further off topic posts will get more deletions, moves, and warnings.
