I tried a lot of different materials to get this to look proper. The military flashlight lenses were the best material I was able to come across. These military lenses will filter out all but the the desired color from the clock. Your clock will be red or blue after this conversion.

You simply remove the dashboard (11 screws total), unclip the heater connection by the gas pedal and press the tabs to remove the electrical connections, remove the clock (2 screws), lift the 4 tabs on the edge of the clock and you can pull out the lens by nipping off the edges with a razor blade. You then simply slide in the new lens and dap some superglue on the edges... Viola, you've got beautiful results.

I can provide technical support if required.

Pictured: 7 colored clock lenses and 1 stocker to show fitment. The stocker is a light brown which allows the greenish color from the clock to show through, A red lens will make your clock red and a blue lens will be blue.

Red (HyundaiKitCoupe's car):

Blue (my car):

Is the lense already cut to size?

Is it a pain in the ass to change this?

You got a better quality picture then that?

OT: Does anybody who looks at this have a clock where the buttons work? Mine still work from time to time, but have to fight it.

No, it takes about 1 hour, I'd say it's pretty easy

I'm waiting for better pictures from 2 members running my red clock lenses. I've been assured that they look great, but I don't have a picture to display yet.

Sometimes the buttons get dust along the edges which impede movement, or the contacts require cleaning. This would be the perfect time for you to replace your clock lens. You can clean the contacts on the clock with an eraser and clean the rubber buttons with alcohol, 409 or soap or whatever you choose.

When you take it apart, just make sure you put the buttons back in the correct order so that they sit flush with the front edge of the clock. the 3 buttons are different lengths and have a different angle to the part which you push.

TibFreak: your blue lens shipped
MindlessDoubt: your red lens shipped.

Not too much to say about shipping. It will come in an envelope. Wipe it down to get rid of the plastic polish with the paper towel I provided.

I have a spare clock if you'd like me to send it to you DTN. You could do a chain that way of them preinstalled and ensure the buttons work and all.

I'd just kill to have a completely functioning set of dash led's.
