Fs: 97 Tiburon *sold*
I am telling people to transport this simply due to the laws of massachusetts. if someone wants to drive this, so be it. it will still get someone from point A to point B, but i'm not holding myself responsible if someone wants to drive this. I drove this no problem for about 60 miles w/ a belt holding the exhuast up. the fumes in that short period of time were almost unbearable.
besides that it drives fine. there is nothing in this car that makes this "unsafe" to drive. Besides the leaking exhaust, the biggest thing w/ this car is the steering rack is leaking. PS fluid has to be topped off every couple months.
5 speed. cloth interior. its a BASE 97 tiburon.
I feel that this car is best suitable to either beat up on, or parted out... and, by the way, this has a salvage title from an accident by a previous owner.

^exterior is in great shape, except for the damage on the drivers side door posted in the images above
and, is it able to be registered?? i dunno. i don't know your states laws. in MA, all you need is auto insurance to be registered. having an inspection sticker is a different story. a rotted exhaust makes it hard to have a sticker in this state....
and, if i'm not mistake, in New York trying to register a salvage vehicle is a pain in the ass. if you live in buffalo, i'd check on that first....

i haven't really crawled underneath to take a look indepth of the condition of the exhaust. i doubt something could be worked other than wrapping the exhaust up to keep it from dragging could work. i really don't have a better answer to that question
i'm currently chatting w/ Mr Muffin to have him look at it and possibly take it off my hands. i think his location from me may be the best, because he is so close. a drive from Mass to Ohio may be too much in regards to exhaust fumes.
i'm not lying when i said that i felt light headed while driving it when the exhaust broke. it got real bad after a 30 minute drive. the CEL came on, but it is because of the 2nd O2 sensor picking up poor readings from the break in the piping at the Cat.

I know in NY if the vehicle has been totaled and rebuilt, then you have to go through a special state inspection to obtain a title and register it, so I was wondering if it has been through a similiar inspection in Mass. Currently I am visiting family in NH and I have a few friends not far from you also, so it would not be much trouble to pick it up.
i don't know what it went thru before i bought it, to be honest and i'm not sure the process needed to get a salvage title. but i personally don't have to do anything special to register i
^^ Ok, just checking, the previous owner probably went through all that then. Let me get ahold of some people and either myself or my friend may stop by to check it out. I'll pm you later today.
