Fs 1998 Hyundai Accent Turbocharged - Lowered To $1000
LOL. You guys come up with some crazy stuff. Well, I can not say it was a completely smooth trip. It started to run bad for a bit but cleared out. At one point I had to slam on the brakes and when I hit the clutch some wires caused me to pull the ecu plug out slightly and kill the car. I sat for a few minutes and figured it out. The wipers on the Accent have like one less speed than the Tiburons and it was POURING for a bit. Also the MAF connector kept falling out because the metal slip is missing. After the ECU was plugged back in fully the rest of the trip was smooth. Car idles real rough but Ill get that sorted out later. Made it home about 6am this morning.
Car drove fine with everything connected. Didnt get into boost at all except when I wanted to. Like when I took off from a damn toll where the lady took ten minutes to pay in front of me. I spent like 40 dollars on tolls on the way back. I also got about 31mpg the whole way back which was very nice.
Plans as of now include just cleaning everything up. The weld on the motor mount is broken. Gotta get rid of some wires and trim some stuff up. Probably going to get rid of a couple extra parts so I can go through the front end and get it aligned. As for staying turbo, I kind of doubt it. With the Beta in there it will have plenty of power and I need a solid daily driver since I want to sell the black rd2 asap. I am sure I will put into the car over the next month probably what I paid for it in getting everything all sorted out.
Thanks Myron for picking us up at the airport and making the transaction pretty damn smooth. I look forward to working on the car and getting it where I am happy.
