Awesome! We have 37.9 (redshark LOL) orders and 2 reserved. It's looking like I will order 50 calendars. We'll see. Some of my friends and family are getting one, and the rest will be available for late buyers on the site at an additional $4.

Seriously though... don't get your tighty whiteys in a bunch... This is really stressful for me. it's like $800 I have to pay to get these calendars before shipping. I couldn't justify spending $800 on something that wasn't decent quality. Remember, I have to look at this calendar all year long too!

On a related note, i've spent 13 hours today performing formatting options on these dang pictures trying to suck the best quality out of them, then running them over, waiting, repeating..... It's a freakin' $400,000 printer that noone knows how to use. lmao.gif

Just so noone gets the wrong idea... we covered Jan '08 last year to prevent this from happening this year. But this year will be different. The COTM system was changed up mid-year this year and it caused an overlap. Callendar designs will be made WELL in advance. As soon as members who win COTM send in a high resoloution picture, the callendar pin-up will be started. Next year's calendar will be much better and alot less scrambling around putting in long hours for me or whomever decides to take it.

Running total so far: ~80 hours graphic design/picture collection and ~20 hours messing around with the printers. Still left: ~? packing & shipping each individual package. It would have been alot better if it had not all been in a 4 week time frame.

****Note to self on future printing: Image smoothing can ruin some pictures and make others look better. High quality printing should always be enabled. sRGB is standard and CMYK sux. 8x10 will work regardless of what they say. >400DPI is just fine. PDF ruins file formats. Ensure version of photoshop is newer or equal to yours. Don't trust people when they have new equipment regardless of the price tag****

ORDER CALLENDARS!!! Once this thread closes it's the wrath of DTN... I'm charging an extra $4 per callendar. Get them while you still can!

I've got about 40 extra proofs we made so I'll send some extra pictures out with these calendars. For those who don't get extra pictures, you'll get something else just as special.

After reading the messages in a few of your paypals, I feel it is nescessary to mention this, just so everyone is on the same sheet of music. At this time, I am only accepting money for callendars. I am not accepting money for the following things; Nuclear Devices, Sexual Favors, Killing kittens, last night or payment directed to my mother.

that is the primary reason why i decided to change it.... although it KILLED me to award you a month. lol
