I added an option to PM me to reserve a calendar for payment after 2JAN07 at an additonal cost of $4 per calendar. This is because it is an out-of-pocket expense for me with no gaurantee that the calendar will be sold. I am purchasing and having these printed all at the same time. I don't want to have a bunch of extra callendars hanging around so please be serious if you reserve a calendar. I will order a few extra as well for those who do not see this post in time. Do not expect those to last.

^^ refunding money for 1.

Car Of The Year gets a free calendar.

Updated pictures on page 1 to final version pictures. Photobucket severely limited quality and size on these pictures. They just resized them any-ol-way they felt like.

BUMP!
Place your orders now guys! It would be a shame if you missed this deal!

UPDATE:

There was a problem with the formatting of the pictures. It was my goal to have maximum resoloution delivered in each and every picture. Although an acceptable proof calendar has already been produced, fine details in the graphic design did not show up... EG.. gradients were granulated and therefore some of the cars looked dirty! Also, the fine print in HKC's "speeding through a red light" at the bottom right of the January collage showed up as a smear.

These pictures show much much much more detail then last year's calendar, but, I felt insulted that fine work I put into these pictures and details of the submissions did not show up. The pictures were showing up at (I'd estimate) 100DPI when I was supplying 400DPI - 500DPI images.

I've had 2 proof calendars made now.

After troubleshooting here are the results we turned up which led to image quality loss. The printers originally told me 10"x8" would be the format for the pictures. It turned out the pictures all needed to be 9x7.2". The printers also use PDF format to print. So, image quality was reduced from 1. conversion from Photoshop to 10x8@400DPI or 500DPI JPEG. 2. Conversion to 9x7.2. 3. Conversion to PDF. 4. Printer variations.

I have converted every picture to Adobe PDF 9"x7.2" @ 400 or 500DPI. Each picture now takes up 50-160 megabytes of space. Leading to a grand total of over 1GB of data into 13 pictures. This will make them able to just drag and drop the pictures into the template they've prepared.

I am having another proof made on 2Jan07 to ensure quality before printing. This will make it take more time to complete the calendar. Those who have last year's calendar are covered through the entire month of January.

We are also dealing with a much larger quantity of calendars then originally expected. It's looking like 50 total calendars will be ordered as I'm ordering about 10 for friends, family and late orders. So it will take a bit longer to complete printing, binding and shipping.

Proof date: 2Jan07 New print date: 3Jan07. Ship date: 4Jan07.

I'm sorry for the delay but it is necessary in order to give you 4-5 times better quality in the pictures of the calendar.
