Well I would like to buy it but my boyfriends the one that really was pushing me to make an offer as I really dont have the money right now. He has money and actually needs a car but I'd have to talk to him and see if he can put up the full amount.

So HKC if you do want it go for it, I wont be upset if you buy it.

hahahaha, well actually the cavalier died almost a year ago, but in his typical fashion it still sits, rotting away, in his friends driveway. Hes just like my dad, keeping the car even though its useless. He'll never get rid of it.

Anyway he does need a car but the money he has he told me is for an apartment. I think though he needs a car more right now than anything. I would actually like the car for myself either as a winter car or a parts car. But I wont be able to save up that kinda of money for a while.

So if HKC doesnt go through then I will speak to the BF and see if he wants to spring for it.

If anyone else is interested please make offers. I would hate to keep other people from jumping in if they are interested.

OK i cant go any lower than 1800, the extras add up to almost equal that. I had the car looked at the day of problem at Tune-up Tech here in Va, now this guy gives me deals, and he quoted 1800 to fix, thats with 6 hours labor at 75 hour, and used trans for 600, but i have found engines on ebay with trans for 800. So as long as you can swap it yrself, you save a grand, thats what i was going to do, but i have know where to do it at. I still start it up once a week and let it run for twenty min, so its not completely frozen, and to listen to the exhaut, lol. Like i said it will be a couple of weeks till i can get the title from my mom in nc, any more questions just give me a shout.

1. Aftermarket parts on the car LOWERS the value of the car man. Sorry. Take them off and sell them and you'll make 2 times as much.

2. $1800 for a new tranny? LMAO! I don't even think the dealer would charge that much. Why not pick one up off of ebay and swap it out yourself? You can put a new tranny in, learn about your car, and save, oh, 1200 to 1400 bucks at least.

3. What do you mean you have nowhere to do it? Do you own a house? Do you have a friend that does? Do you have parents that have a house? I've done some serious car work on several cars right here in front of my apartment complex.

4. Are you in college? Do they have a machinist shop or an auto traning facility? For just the price of parts most Technical Vocational institiutes and other colleges will have their students do the work on your car.

Ok so your tranny is shot. Im not really interested in your aftermarket parts, so as redz suggested try to part it out. I am still interested in the car so when you have the title we can talk then.
