The car looks good but you should definitely lower the price on it if you want it to be sold. I bought my car for that much over a year ago and it had 38k on it. Honestly, the only person that may buy it for that much is one who didnt do any research at all..and because you got ripped off doesnt mean somebody else should either. Good luck.

Okay, Okay, stop harping on the poor guy. One comment about it overpriced and that's fine. Anymore and it's just plain rude IMO. SwiftTiburon's comments were just about right. Take it easy on the guy.

Keep in mind, it does sound like he is including his OEM Bumpers. If it is overpriced, maybe suggest a price instead. If your not interested please leave the thread alone.

I appreciate the input, minus the rudeness - I see everyones point. No it isnt a true Veilside, Yes it has 75K on a 6 yr old car and Yes I'm not THAT stupid to realize I am not going to get even remotely the 7K I put into it. I was told to use that price and I dont understand why not one person recognized the O B O after the pricing. After licking my wounds and calling a few friends telling them what was going on here they informed me that apparently most people see the $11,500 and stop there thinking thats the end of it. I guess I figured go high, they would bid reasonable .... go reasonable, they would bid too low. I realize I am not going to sell it here and I appreciate the between the lines statements you guys were trying to prove. I will put it in the Wheel Deals, Auto Trader, etc ... the places I have to PAY for - for $9500 OR BEST OFFER and perhaps that might get a few more bites. All OEM stuff goes with it too .. saw no reason to keep all that crap.

I got bit rather hard over this damn car selling it to an overseas guy thinking I had a sale, all the while telling the guy I wasnt doing ANYTHING until I verified the check. He swore up and down that was cool and I saw no issue, I wasnt losing anything but a sale, and sure as snot, the cashier's check turned out fake. Well unfortunately, I went out and bought me a 2006 Dodge Charger and put 3K worth of wheels on it and tinted it and need to just get what I owe out of the car so I can get out of it and pay ONE car payment.

Just wanted to put that out there, please no "I told you so's" or rude comments .. I know I F'd up and Im just trying to play catch up .... thanks for your opinions though ... albeit without the slaps in the face.

Sincerely,

I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude with my post. I know most of the comments on here were meant to help you if anything.

It is nearly impossible to sell a Tiburon online, and get what you want for it. I hope you do get $11,000 for it... I wouldn't sell mine for anything less. Unfortunately, selling it online will probably get you the least for the car. I would suggest advertising it in local magazines, such as Wheels and Deals. Put up flyers at high schools in your area (high-rent areas).

I've thought about it before. If I'm going to sell my car, I want more than it's worth. I've put too much time and money into it and couldn't take a loss as big as I should. If I were to sell it, I'd go to the rich part of town, put up a few flyers, and try to get some rich kid to buy it who wants a cool looking car but doesn't want to do it himself. There are plenty of those people around, and their parents don't mind paying for it.

A local dealership is selling a red RD2 with 70,000 miles on it for $9,500. It's nowhere worth that in my opinion, but they sold it. If somebody would buy that for $9,500 with no options (cloth seats, no fogs/sunroof) then I would bet someone would buy yours for $10,000. You just have to be patient and push the car out there to the right audience.

Honestly, most of the people in this thread were NOT trying to hurt your sale, or be hurtful. We were merely trying to help you. Good luck man

I understand and my comments were not directed at you specifically ... we have talked many times through car domain and I have taken your efforts as a guide for how to do mine, not "copy", but at least get an idea of whats out there, what mistakes to recover from, etc. Reading through the thread, the comments posted by a few were very hurtful and hit hard. I guess I got too comfortable with the looks, the awards, the comments I have received locally, the pointing as I drive down the street and I shed my thick skin the US Navy had afforded me when I was in. You get built up by a different crowd and proud of the money, time and effort you put into your vehicle, and when someone calls your efforts "an 8 dollar can of Krylon and 5 bucks worth of stickers = $3000 of nothingness" .... it tends to sting.

Its all good, thanks for the wake up call!

I would part it out. Because a bodykit doesnt make the value go up. I wouldnt buy a car with a bodykit because I would have to do extra work to take it off and all. Return it to stock wheels and bk should be able to sell for 1000 or 1500 idk I dont really like either (not ures just in general) so I dont really follow the prices. Not trying to be rude but if you could find some kid who likes the f&f and parents r giving him whatever thats the person u need to sell to.
