Yeah F1 is NOT for the Americans, but maybe it would be promoted well. I know it will NEVER. The show COPS is all the street circuiting they need.

Here's someone's recent comment:

Wasn’t this tried before? Phoenix; Las Vegas; Long Beach; Detroit; Indianapolis? I am not complaining. I, at least, got a chance to see Detroit. However, the failure of the Phoenix Las Vegas, and Indy races seem to indicate that America may not be interested in Formula One-as opposed to NASCAR.

From the sounds of it, it doesn't seem like this is very public. Then again, the Austin circuit was only speculation until investors stepped in too, but that is way out in the country. American cities aren't interested in racing, they're only interested in business business business like the robots that they are.

Two GREAT tracks. I LOVE Monaco as well. ...only what does it for me are the F1 cars look so cool at night. You can see fire spouts, and every detail like scraps of trash on the circuit, sparks when they hit the bumps. Then there's the city lights, reflections in the water, the atmosphere, the boats lit up different colors at the marina, the helicam views let you see how fast the cars are going compared to commuter traffic, you can almost feel like you're there. I love the feeling of early evening into late evening and the fact that it's one of the longest, hottest, most enduring races on the calendar. Every year I hope for rain because we've never seen an F1 night circuit in the rain.
